Water Hyacinth: Water Hyacinth is an aquatic weed that can be identified by its broad green leaves and purple flowers.

Once a weed blocking natural waterways, water hyacinth is now used to create beautiful basketware and furniture. This natural fibre can be woven finely and dyed into beautiful colours.


Lidi: Lidi is the stem of the coconut frond. Traditionally used to make brooms or blinds it has now be adapted for many other uses. Woven with cotton it makes excellent placemats and runners or as a covering for items such as trays, picture frames or large furniture. Lidi can also be left in natural colour our died.


Vertiver: Used by the French to make perfume, the Indonesian use Vertiver to store and protect their precious cloth.

This naturally aromatic fibre comes from the root of the cedar tree and can be woven in combination with other fibres or used on its own.


Pandanus: The tall, thorny leaves of the Pandanus plant, grown in Indonesia are collected and boiled before being left natural or dyed to be woven into various patterns and designs.
The the pandanus tree are collected, boiled, dyed and made into colorful mats, beach bags, hats, fans, purses, and slippers.

 

Agel: A unique natural fibre derived from tropical palm.
Agel can be left natural or dyed to your specified colour. The fibre is twisted into a string and woven on traditional handlooms to create various patterns in different colour combinations.
